Message from the Founder

I have to help because It was done to me.

Pr. Festo Nduwayezu

Helping is not that you have enough, but a heart, a strong heart to do what’s right without waiting for a reward from the people. Getting involved in this Organization, will positively change lives of hundreds of vulnerable people, who will after change positively the lives of others. You will be playing your role in the community as a Human being. You will be helping us to create a world where every person’s fundamental needs are catered for so that they are able to craft a successful future for themselves; as our vision states. Let’s together give them hope, Let’s stand up for the needy -Psalm 12:5.

Without help, many children and youths, whose families are poor, would never step foot into a classroom or training for future survival and in contrast they turn to crime, drug abuse, early marriage and prostitution.

One day, I thought about the sad life I would live without the help from others. This inspired me about helping others in need too for the positive change of lives.

My Short Story

I am Pastor NDUWAYEZU Festo, Christian, Married and having 2 children (Boy of 6 and a girl of 2) .

I was born in 1988 and raised in a poor family. When I was a child, Ms. Joanne Lavender from USA through International Child Care Ministries sponsored my education, but the program ended after a short time without even completing my Primary Education.

My hardships in Education as a result of being poor continued…Sometimes I couldn’t be allowed to have the meal or to sleep at school because of failing to pay . One day, my fellow classmate advised me to go back at home because I couldn’t continue studies without eating, but I refused because I never wanted to loose my Education! I was in Senior 5.

In 2007, One of my Classmates NGIRIMANA Francine found for me a sponsor (Abbé Gallican NDAYISABA) who paid all my dept and the rest of the tuition fees so that I complete my Advanced level freely.

After that, I attended National University of Rwanda (2010-2013) where I did International Relations, sponsored by Government of Rwanda through SFAR but in the second year, Government stopped to sponsor some students including me for a period of one year, and It was a great challenge for me economically but here I thank God, Bishop Dr. Linda Adams, who was the General Director of International Child Care Ministries, and Mr. Ephaste Niyigena who managed to give me the bursary for the whole year which I needed the most to continue the studies.

Now I am a 2 year student in Masters of Arts in International Relations in Mahatma Gandhi University, Meghalaya.

I am grateful to all who contributed to my studies those who changed my past sad times. And after all grateful to the Almighty God for his kindness and all of these!
