Justin Hakizimana is the third of seven siblings, born to Congolese parents, and living in Kyaka II Refugee Settlement in Uganda. Tragically, his father passed away in 2022 due to illness, leaving his mother with the heavy responsibility of raising all seven children alone. Despite the challenges, his mother works tirelessly to provide for the family, but it is never enough. Justin attends school, but during weekends and holidays, he often seeks work to help ease his mother’s burden. He is determined to support her and ensure that his siblings have what they need to survive.
Justin has a deep passion for learning and dreams of becoming a teacher or translator. He enjoys teaching his siblings, helping them improve academically, and fostering a love for education.
